Medtora is built as a unified clinical platform with a project based architecture that supports both active and inactive projects. The platform is designed to scale across organizations and use cases, allowing companies to manage multiple clinical or healthcare projects within a single, consistent operational framework.
Medtora provides flexible user and access management across projects, enabling companies to create internal employees, external users, associated organizations and caregivers. Access is role based and managed per project, ensuring that each user only has access to the data and functionality relevant to their role and responsibilities.
Medtora supports a wide range of clinical and research activities, including surveys, tests, and interviews. These activities are configured per project and integrated directly into participant workflows, enabling structured data collection and engagement within a compliant and secure environment.
Beyond structured clinical data collection, Medtora enables organizations to measure patient experience, treatment satisfaction, and product adoption using configurable rating models and longitudinal feedback tracking. Collect standardized experience metrics through scalable scoring formats (including 0–10 and Likert-based models), monitor changes over time, and generate actionable insights across patient, provider, and stakeholder groups — all within a secure, project-based framework.
This approach allows research and commercial teams to evaluate real-world engagement, identify improvement opportunities, and document performance in a structured and regulatory-compliant manner.
Digital consent workflows are integrated into Medtora to support regulatory compliant data collection and documentation. Medtora’s eConsent makes it easy for patients to sign digitally or via document upload – secure, traceable, and in accordance with ISO 14155, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, as well as additional regulatory frameworks such as MDR and GCP where applicable. Consent records are securely stored and fully audit‑ready, supporting GDPR requirements and alignment with EHDS principles.
Secure authentication is built into the core of the platform. Participants authenticate using email, password and SMS based verification, while employees, external users, associated organizations and caregivers authenticate using email based verification. This role appropriate multi factor authentication model ensures secure access while maintaining usability across all user types.
The platform allows secure upload and management of documents, audio files and video files at both project and participant level. Access to materials is controlled based on role and project status, ensuring that sensitive information is only available to authorized users and remains protected throughout the project lifecycle.

Participant access is controlled at project level and automatically adjusted based on project status. When a project becomes inactive, participant access is removed while required data remains available for compliance and retention purposes.
Medtora is designed to support strict data protection and retention requirements. The platform enforces a clear separation between data controller and data processor roles and supports secure data storage and controlled access after project completion. Data can be retained in accordance with applicable regulations, including long term retention requirements for clinical and healthcare projects.
